Modern Refrigeration and Air Conditioning [Hardcover]

I bought this book here on Amazon back in 2007 and it has occasionally been useful for desk reference. There is an updated 19th edition from 2013 that hopefully includes more info on things like charging equipment using now common refrigerant blends, fan curves and high velocity [SDHV] systems, which understandably this older 18th edition from 2004 is sort of lacking. Overall, even though this book was fairly expensive I think it was worth what I paid for it at the time, but I'm still deciding whether or not I feel the need to purchase the newest edition of this Modern Refrigeration and Air Conditioning book.

I bought their earlier book and learned refrigeration from and passed my test without going to school. I gave my copy to a younger guy hoping he will do the same as I did...I didn't want to be without a copy, so I bought the newer edition which has some of the newer refrigerants in it.

This book is expensive but definitely worth it to own one. Put it simple, it makes me understand how AC really works, I'd never fear for not knowing what I am talking about again, or say something without knowing its root cause.
