Awesome Book - Too bad it's out of print

***WARNING**** This book and Natural ESP: THe ESP Core and it's Raw Characteristics are the same books - Save yourself the $$

The only negative thing I can say about this book is the fact that Natural ESP by Ingo Swann is the same exact book put out by Bantam Books. The bantam version is older than this eddition. Had I known, I woudln't have shelled out the $$$ since books by Ingo Swann are so expensive.. However, the book I purchased was $60 and now I see I can't get it for less than $118...

After reading this book, I understand why books by Mr. Swann are so expensive... I really believe it is because TPTB (The Powers That Be) don't want you reading this book because it quite simply gives you the control to take your power back..

Ingo Swann should be required reading.

Guadalupe Loaeza a trav�s de esta obra nos proporciona una excelente lectura para el entretenimiento de un fin de semana. La obra compila las biograf�as de diversos personajes, principalmente de EUA, Hispanoam�rica y Francia.

La obra est� dividida de acuerdo al �mbito profesional de los personajes:

1. Detr�s de la puerta... la imagen, donde encontraremos 15 biograf�as de personas p�blicas principalmente con el medio art�stico: cantantes, actores, m�sicos, compositores, etc.; Ignacio de la Torre, Sara Garc�a y Ram�n Gay.

2. Los ojos como espejos, contiene 8 biograf�as de personalidades del medio arquitect�nico, moda y escultura. Entramos a Juan Soriano, Yves Saint Laurent, entre otros.

3. Palabras como balas, contiene 18 biograf�as de poetas y escritores. En esta parte nos encontramos con Federico Garc�a Lorca, Gabriela Mistral, Carlos Pellicer y Carlos Monsiv�is.

4. Una m�sica m�s �ntima contiene 5 biograf�as de m�sicos y compositores: Cole Porter y Liberace.

La obra cierra con la historia de Marcela y Mario, dos mujeres que contrajeron matrimonio en 1901 en Espa�a.

Algunos trabajos biogr�ficos son m�s interesantes por los elementos que lo conforman pues Loaeza los enriquece con detalles, especialmente los trabajos de los escritores, pues presenta breves citas para develar el misterio detr�s del personaje. No en todas las biograf�as se presentan evidencias o referencias.

Me gusta que su tabla de contenidos pues se puede acceder f�cilmente a una biograf�a en particular.

He leido casi toda la obra de la Loaeza, me gusta su manera de narrar historias de una forma desenfadada y a veces hasta light, se que no pasara a la historia como una de las mas grandes escritoras de m�xico pero como siempre aporta su manera de ver las cosas. En estas p�ginas se hace un recorrido por las vidas de los homosexuales m�s influyentes en la cultura y la historia. Hay que decir que se trata de un reconocimiento a su inteligencia, a su influencia en la sociedad y en la cultura, pero sobre todo a su valor; no hay que olvidar que muchos de ellos son personajes que a pesar de las �pocas de represi�n en que han vivido, pudieron llevar una vida abierta y fuera del cl�set. Se habla de m�sicos como Leonard Bernstein; escritores como Andr� Gide, Oscar Wilde, Marcel Proust, Carlos Monsiv�is, Gabriela Mistral, Federico Garc�a Lorca; pintores como Andy Warhol; actores como Rock Hudson, Marlene Dietrich, Sara Garc�a, Dirk Bogart; pol�ticos como Harvey Milk o figuras actuales como Juan Gabriel y Ricky Martin. En este libro la autora pretende presentar a individuos gays de carne y hueso, en lugar de teor�as o abstracciones, con ello da un empujoconito y ayuda a transformar la imagen social de la homosexualidad, la cual esta un tanto manchada y subvaluada.**

In her illuminating work and unbound passion, Tahmina Watson reminds us how immigrants that have been the fiber of what has made US an innovation powerhouse that stands to be challenged today in the global economy.

With focus on US policy, she probes and demands us to join her in the movement to shine the light on the issue at hand and what we stand to lose if immigration laws are not changed.

She accomplishes this by not only blending history but also providing real life examples today about the importance of the Startup Visa if US desires to continue staying relevant in the world. Examples include Alibaba (think Amazon, eBay, Paypal combined) - the Chinese ecommerce behemoth with market valuation surpassing that of Walmart or India quickly turning into the de facto as incubator and technology hub.

This book is very informative and offers keen insight into the issues surrounding business visas for entrepreneurs. The book guides us into legislative history, comparisons with Canada and solutions for start up business visas. The author is an incredibly compassionate attorney who is sought after for her immigration skills and insight. This book is short and to the point and is an excellent guide for both immigrants and US companies alike.

An engaging contribution to the national dialog on immigration at an important time

The fact that there are many talented people from around the world who would love to bring their skills and experience to the USA probably isn't a big surprise, and neither is the fact that this is quite difficult for them to immigrate here. What might be surprising, and should be worrying is that because of these boundaries the US is beginning to fall behind in attracting the kind of global talent that creates companies like Levi Strauss, Yahoo!, and Ebay. Tahmina Watson does an excellent job of providing background on American immigration policy, showing how countries such as Canada, the UK, Italy, New Zealand, Chile, and many others have developed programs to attract entrepreneurs, and then giving a concrete explanation of how the US could do the same.
